Most of the sculptures are carved from Western Red Cedar, Nootka Cypress and Yew wood salvaged in the Nootka Sound area. 

Historic Nootka Sound is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island on Canada’s Pacific coast. Nootka Sound is home to the Mowachaht. This is where the road ends. Easy ocean access to the world’s best salmon and halibut fishing.
